About
The Artist
Kent Solberg is a Milwaukee-based artist working across painting, sculpture, and photography. His practice is rooted in process — layered, physical, and collaborative — pushing process right against chance.
Trained at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in Sculpture, Photography, and Industrial Design; Solberg's work investigates the tension between control and collapse, intimacy and scale. His pieces are often the sum of parts that don't know each other until the piece is on the wall.
He is currently based out of the MATERIAL gallery and studios in the Marshall Building, #600; MKE, 53202.
